Engineering students who join JNTU, Hyderabad, will be able to take a shot at MBA from the coming academic year of 2009-10. The five-year integrated programmes will allow students to opt for a combination of B Tech and MBA or B Tech and M Tech.

The courses will be called Integrated MBA and Integrated M Tech. The JNTU officials said that unlike the usual integrated programmes, the students will be given two degrees (B Tech with MBA or M Tech) at the end of five years, and hence will also be referred to as dual degree programme.

The five year integrated programme will be offered in seven streams including computer science, mechanical, electrical, electronics, civil, biotechnology and geo-spatial technology. The admissions will be based on Eamcet ranks.
