The MBA (International Business) is a foundational course for developing a competent cadre of business executives to meet the country’s growing requirements for training personnel in the field of international business management.
The MBA (IB) is a general management programme with a focus on international business. The Programme aims at providing a comprehensive coverage incorporating all the important areas and disciplines relevant to international business activities. The syllabi for MBA (IB) compares favourably with the syllabi of some of the world’s best International Business Schools.

MBA(IB) is a six trimester (2 year full time)general management programme with a focus on internaional business.
Last Date for Sale of Prospectus by post: : August 20, 2008
Last date for Sale of Prospectus across the counter at IIFT :September 3, 2008
Last Date for Receipt of completed Applications: :September 3, 2008
Written Test: :November 23, 2008 (10 am–12 noon)

Two-year MBA (International Business)
Eligibility:
1. Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline.
2. Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by October 7, 2009.
3. No age limit.
Mode of Admission :
For General/SC/ST/PH/OBC category :
* On the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview.
* Based on marks for written test, candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Interview to be held during January/February at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
For Foreign/NRI/Children of NRI :
* On the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).
* GMAT result should not have been declared before January 1, 2007 and should be received by the Institute latest by March 31st, 2009
Pattern of Admission Test
* The admission test is a multiple choice objective type written test (in English).
* Duration of the test is two hours and will cover English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.
How to Apply:
The candidates are supposed to apply online and for this they have to follow certain instructions. Before applying candidates should make sure that they have a Demand draft of the applicable amount favouring INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE payable at Delhi. Applicable amount of the demand draft is as follows:
General/OBC Indian candidates Rs.1300/-
SC/ST/PH candidates Rs. 700/-
Foreign/NRI/Children of NRI candidates US$ 75 (Indian Rs. 3000/-)
Those candidates who belong to Foreign/ NRI/ Children of NRI category should attach copy of their GMAT score. If they do not have a GMAT score they can also submit the same separately by 31st March 2009 quoting their application number.

Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar , Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore,Delhi, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.
Admit Cards :
The Admit Cards will be sent BY POST to all the students, who submit filled-in Application Forms complete in all respects (online or offline), in the first week of November 2008. Applicants, who do not receive their Admit Cards by 14th November 2008 can download the Admit Card from IIFT’s website. With a printout of the Admit Card, the candidates should reach the venue of the Exam Centre on 23 November 2008 latest by 9.00 a.m. with one of the proofs of identity such as:
(a) Passport
(b) Election I-card
(c) College I-Card
(d) Driving License.
Pattern of Admission Test
The admission test is a multiple choice objective type written test (in English). Duration of the test is two hours. It normally consists of 200 questions covering
