Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
The MAT (conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA), is conducted 4 times a year i.e. December, January/February, May and September.
The whole test has been divided into 5 sections. All the sections are compulsory, but the composite score is based on the first four sections. Management institutes use the score of the fifth section in accordance with their respective norms and its usage is optional. Negative marking does exist in the exam. The duration of the test is two and half-hours. The structure of the test is as follows.

Eligibility:
For most of the institutes, a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Students appearing for the Final Degree Examination are also eligible to apply.
Selection Process:
A candidate has to appear for the written test conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). The short listed candidates screened through the written test, will be called for group discussion and personal interview.
