Management Aptitude Test (MAT) Test Pattern
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is usually conducted four times in a year in January, May, September and December. The minimum qualification is graduation in any discipline from any recognised university or equivalent recognised degree. A final-year student can also appear provisionally. Usually, there is a minimum percentage requirement in graduation which is different for different Management Institutes/ universities.

Section I(Language Comprehension)
The overall section comprised:
*Reading Comprehension (Based on 5 topics: Co-operative section, Social life & friends, Marketing history of India, Indian Meteorological Department, General English)
*English Usage (Synonyms, Para jumbles, Fill ups etc)
Section II (Mathematical Skills)
This section comprised :
*Problem Solving,Including: Numbers, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Averages, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Circles, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Probability etc.
Section III ( Data Analysis & Sufficiency)
This section comprised :
* Data Interpretation (Line Graphs, Pie Charts & Bar Graphs)
* Data Analysis
* Data Sufficiency
Section III ( Intelligence & Critical Reasoning)
The overall section comprised:
Logical Reasoning
Coding & decoding, Decision making, Series, Data arrangement
Critical Reasoning
Statement – Argument, Statement-Assumption, Statement – Conclusion etc.
Section V (Indian & Global Environment)
Most of the questions were related to the current affairs based on Economical (Business – Related), Social & political background etc. These questions were easy to moderate in nature.
Eligibility:
For most of the institutes, a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Students appearing for the Final Degree Examination are also eligible to apply.
Selection Process:
A candidate has to appear for the written test conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). The short listed candidates screened through the written test, will be called for group discussion and personal interview.
